Visit by HE Minister of Tourism Mrs Laura Lahoud and HE Minister of Agriculture Dr Nizar Hani to Kfarmishki (Rachaya District) on the subject of Lavender farming, its benefits and potential for large-scale agri-tourism. The program on Tuesday June 24th is centered around the idea of creating a new LAVENDER TOURIST FESTIVAL and will be roughly as follows:

• • • 12 noon: Arrival in Kfarmishki and welcome drink at Raja Abdallah’s ecotourism house
    • 12.15: Meeting with the new President of the municipality and some members
    • 12.30: Tour of the lavender fields with live music in the fields (right next to the house).
    • 1.15: Presentation of the Green Destination Ecotourism Certification
    • 1.30: Lunch at Raja’s and small exhibition of typical Kfarmishki local “mouneh” products
    • 2.30: Short walk in the village (45 minutes) to admire the mural paintaings, old houses, church, etc.
    • 3.30: Farewell and departure
